Homes

As the saying goes, ‘there’s no place like home’. Home can be hard to define… it’s a feeling. It feels warm, it feels comfortable. It’s a sanctuary, an escape from the busyness of the world. The way we design our homes feels authentic, a genuine reflection of who we are. Injecting ourselves in our home design doesn’t necessarily cost a lot of money; it is simply about choosing the right products to make your home shine and last a lifetime.

Apartments

Apartments are an increasingly popular housing choice and there is no doubt that good apartment design helps create healthy, safe and livable communities. Apartments also provide housing choice for those with a range of incomes and lifestyle preferences. With population increasing at around 1.6 per cent every year, the higher dwelling density provided by apartments also brings more housing availability.

Student Accommodation

Well-designed student accommodation combines ‘living and learning’, with flexible, quality housing that is cost-effective and appealing. Student accommodation should create a sense of community and identity, and be comfortable, attractive and functional – often in a compact space. Students need ample storage options and a feeling of luxury – all on a budget.

Working on a residential project?

Colourful

Aesthetic

The design of residential buildings should always be sensitive to the local surroundings, with a high level of aesthetic appeal. As the economy continues to bounce back, more families are spending money on the appearance of their homes and architects and designers are finding new and creative ways to set their projects apart. Striking wall treatments are on the rise, taking over from traditional painted surfaces, while colour and texture are being used to create a homely-feel, rather than a sterile hotel-vibe.

Durability

Cost Effective

The key to good style is being able to maintain it. Selecting products that suit the environment and purpose mean they will last longer, requiring less maintenance and therefore less cost. Durability, being easy to clean and using sustainable materials all contribute to the overall cost effectiveness of a residential building.

Looking for the right surface material?

Joinery

Joinery can be a striking element in a residential space - and is often the heart of the home. With gatherings increasingly being focussed around the kitchen of a residential space, the joinery is on full display, allowing residents to show their personal style. Whether you prefer bright colours, or muted neutrals, our SURPAC or High Pressure Laminate, is your go-to for joinery. It is highly durable and easy to clean with its non-porous surface and strong inner core. You can even create curved edges, which is safer for elderly residents and children

Exteriors

The streetscape of your neighbourhood is its visual identity and plays an important role in creating a community. It’s important that your residential building is sympathetic to the existing streetscape, in order to foster community spirit. MEG is a highly versatile exterior product that can easily be adapted to any streetscape. It is a great way to update your exterior, as it is suitable for cladding, balconies, sunscreens and outdoor furniture. It is resistant to natural weathering and is available in a wide range of themes - or can be completely customised thanks to digital printing techniques. It requires no painting, finishing or sealing.

Wall Panelling

No matter the size of your residential dwelling, your furniture should feel relaxed and inviting. This is your home and gives you the opportunity to create a fresh look that reflects your family. Our surface products are able to produce benches, counters, seats and ottomans that are stunning and comfortable, while also being hygienic and easy to clean. Consider our decorative timber panels by Holz in Form for a warm, yet on-trend look.

Feature Project

The Beach House in Point Lonsdale designed by JAM Architects in Melbourne is one of our favourite residential projects. The focus for the client was making sure the design could accommodate a growing family comfortably. Creating a livable space was paramount, with the surfaces durable enough to stand up to kids playing, while maintaining a stylish interior.

The Beach House features ABET Laminati high pressure laminate, Holz In Form timber veneers, writable surfaces and Siberian White Birch substrates. These materials have been mixed though out the home for feature joinery, custom made furniture and wall feature panels.
